Eid al-Adha which is coming up next weekend in Dubai. It’s a festival which brings a wave of joy for everyone. Yes, it has long been associated with pompous decorations, glitzy fervor, and reuniting with your big family. This pleasure should be reflected from your home as well, regarding your whole family will visit it. The entire home should shout the words decorations and adornment.

Adorn your walls with Islamic art

Islamic art is richly influenced by a variety of cultures, namely, Greek, Egyptian, Persian, Chinese and Indian! You can spot Islamic art in architecture, calligraphy, paintings, glass work, ceramics, and textiles.

Play around with pillows

Throw pillows with bold design add a casual chic vibe to the room. Don’t be shy to pile them on and mix some patterns. Combine large prints with small ones, florals with geometrics.

Fill some memories in

Display your beautiful memories with your loved ones on these special days! Put some photos prints on your living room table and show your precious moments with your family. Besides, they will add up some personal feeling to light up the room.

Add lanterns and candles

Any celebration is incomplete without lights and when it comes to Eid, the different types of light and candles are of great use. You can use designer lanterns to decorate your home. Add soft color of glittery lanterns for the refreshing festive mood. Play with the placement of lanterns. You can place it on the dining table or hang it above the sitting area. Try to make centerpiece arrangement of lantern for your dining table that gives an ethnic touch to the decoration. Add extra lighting to your home during this month. Even the soft glow of candles can add accent lighting to your décor.

Sparkles All Around

For Eid celebration, use of sparkle and glitters are of great importance, as without adding the glitz and sheen to everything the Eid celebration is incomplete. Glittery cushion cover and bed sheet are the prominent need of the dining table. Use aluminum foil for all the cutlery holders and gold embroidered work on the bed sheets.

All these accessories and decorations pieces you can find in Lifestyle stores in UAE. They have flat 50% off on all their products.

So, give a warm welcome to visitors, friends and relatives with flashy look of your home. Be festive with

Do you want to add some life to your décor, but you’re not sure where to start?

Then you’re not alone.

Why not consider going all tropical?

It’s becoming a growing trend right now. When some people hear the word ‘tropical’, they immediately think of loud, garish and over-the-top colors. Exotic colors and textures—fit for a balmy oasis like the Bahamas or Fiji—have been making a splash on the 2017 home design circuit. And I can’t get enough of the scorching trend. Sure, tropical looks can be loud. But that doesn’t mean they have to be tacky. Bold, over-scale tropical leaves in graphic prints can make a sophisticated statement.

From lighting to cushions, wallpaper to duvets, hallways to mirrors, fashionable tropical décor strikes the right balance between showcasing vibrant colors and nailing that relaxing holiday vibe. Think flowery prints, with soft, light greens, pale pinks and patterns with subtle coral, brown and blue undertones. A tropical interior design theme isn’t about making overly wild statements and making your house guests feel like they’re living in Rio in the middle of Mardi Gras. Instead, it’s about embracing a welcome boost of color into the home, all in good taste. It’s about being light and breezy.

If your decor has truly put you in the tropical mood, infuse your outfit with natural vibes and earth-toned hues. Paired my tropical dress with my favorite green heels.

Dress: Primark; Shoes: Glamorous; Watch: Michael Kors

It’s worth a look. After all, when you think about it, is there anything more comfortable and warm than an exotic retreat? Hope you agree with me.

Hello Everyone,

Want to get smooth and soft hair? Looking for insurance for your hair? Then go on reading.

I got my hair colored 5 months back and off late my hair started to feel very dry and frizzy due to the heat in Dubai. I usually don’t get any hair treatments done here in Dubai since I prefer India and the hair specialist there. But then I came across this Olaplex treatment at The Artist Beauty Lounge in Dubai. I immediately messaged Reshu who happens to be the Owner of this beautiful salon and cleared all my doubts regarding the treatment. After contemplating I finally booked an appointment and decided to go for it.

The Artist Beauty Lounge is a cute little salon located in Oud Metha. It’s a signature beauty lounge by Makeup Artist and Beauty Expert Reshu Malhotra.

Coming to the treatment, let me give you a bit of information. Olaplex is a simple three-step process, includes a patented active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. You can use Olaplex to restore compromised hair or add it to another service to provide the ultimate breakage insurance.

Olaplex is a three-part treatment, the first two of which have to be done in a salon. Nevilles, in the heart of the glossy Belgravia in London, was the first salon in the UK to stock it so now more than anyone its revolutionary qualities. Having color-damaged hair myself (a salon back in India once turned me away and refused to do my highlights because it was so bad – a real low point), I was intrigued to see if it lived up to the hype, so I popped into getting the almighty Olaplex.

It works in three steps, here’s how:

  1. Olaplex Number 1: This concentrated first salon step rebuilds broken disulfide bonds and begins the process of preventing damage and repairing hair. Bond Multiplier is used as a stand-alone treatment. It was put on my hair and kept for 10 minutes.
  2. Olaplex Number 2: The second salon step continues to rebuild and restore any remaining broken bonds ensuring the strongest, shiniest, and healthiest hair possible. Bond Perfector is then put on the hair and this is left on for a good 25 minutes to really get the most out of its chemical mending.
  3. Olaplex Number 3: Hair Perfector is where you take things into your own hands. The third step is a take home treatment, which is recommended to use once a week. Apply to damp hair, comb through, and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes at home before washing as normal. If you want to maximize the effect, leave it on overnight.

So the first and second step was done at the salon. Rani, the lady who did my treatment was very sweet and explained me all the steps before doing it. After the final wash and blow dry, I kid you not my hair became soooooo SOFT and silky. My hair felt genuinely smoother and looked far less frazzled than it did when I walked in. You can tell why they’re calling it insurance for your hair. I was really amazed by the way my hair turned out to be. Check out my picture below and see the difference.

This treatment is really worth doing it and it’s quietly affordable. It costs around 250 AED and the 3rd step is for 100AED for you to take it home. Reshu, the sweetest person also recommended me to repeat this treatment after a month in order to get the best results. It’s been two weeks I got this treatment done and I can’t stop touching my soft hair.

Here are few tips and tricks which I learned in this event on organizing your wardrobe.

  • There’s little point in owning a gorgeous bag or dress if you can’t find it in your closet when you’re getting dressed. A clean, well-organized wardrobe—instead of a confusing, jumbled mess of clothes and accessories—means you’ll maximize all your sartorial purchases, and come up with polished, carefully considered outfits even on hectic mornings. The task of decluttering your wardrobe can be overwhelming but its worth doing it.
  • Get Rid of Your Old Clothes. It might not be easy, but tossing out or donating old clothes is key to making room in your closet.
  • Organize your tops and dresses. If you have the space to hang, hang everything, You’ll wear more if you can see it!
  • Organize Bags and Shoes. It’s better to keep shoes and bags outside on shelves and have as much visible as possible. It’s hard to change bags if you can’t see them. They don’t generally get damaged out of their dust bags, so enjoy the view.
  • Organize Jewelry on top of the dresser. It’s also a great way to see what you have and makes it easy to keep hidden from plain sight.

I hope these tips and tricks help you organize your wardrobe and maximize more space in order to fit all our clothes, shoes, and bags. Till then xoxo
