We Instagrammers and Bloggers keep looking for new places that are #instaworthy and #pinteresty. And the same way I discovered this pretty looking place called TANIA’S TEAHOUSE that is located near Burj Al Arab.

Tania’s Teahouse is every girl’s dream place…tea themed cafe has a wide range of special tea selection, coffee, breakfast food, and desserts. From pink color walls to punny & motivational quotes on the walls to rose gold furniture & cutlery to marble finishes to green plants all around the villa…this place has everything. The two-storey cafe has stylishly blended the millennial minimalism and pastel furnishings. Let’s look at the interiors:

Ground floor seating

cute little corner with books and games

I’m in love with the gallery wall on their spiral staircase.

This place is the brainchild of a Dubai-based tea lover. With attention to detail, Tania has perfectly conceptualized this cafe as a perfect place to study and work. The menu is so well designed with unique names for their specialty teas. At the time of order, Tania herself came to us and explained her own blended tea flavors. Along with tea and coffee, there is also healthy salad or the all-day breakfast options, before indulging in an array of desserts from cookies to cupcakes. Let’s take a look at what we ordered:

Desert Rose Latte with fashion-inspired Barista Art (25ED)

Chai Pudding with Berries (45 AED)

Mermaid Toast – with cream cheese, honey, and banana (35AED)

This is not it, located next to the tea bar, there is also a gift shop selling their tea-themed goodies from mugs to skincare products to customized Tees and jewelry.

This place is worth a visit. A perfect spot to visit for breakfast, lunch or just sit in a corner with a book and a cup of tea. I am definitely going back to spend some ME time till then xoxo.

Hello,

Are you bored of your current room/home/office space? Looking for a change? But not having to buy new furniture or spend a bomb? Then go on reading the below ideas:

For most of us, replacing all of your furniture room by room isn’t feasible. That doesn’t mean you can’t make simple, easy and often-inexpensive changes to rooms in your home. Here are some easy ways to change the look of any room without buying any new furniture.

Give your windows something new to wear. Ready-to-hang window treatments are easy to install and yield dramatic results. Windows can be dressed to perfectly suit your style and taste. You can go bold and graphic with geometric curtain panels, or beachy with gauzy white sheers, or minimalist with bamboo shades—the options are endless.

Place flowers with a flourish for an instant breath of fresh air in any room. Or, if you prefer, potted ferns, wreaths, and potpourri can also make a statement. The focal point of the display doesn’t have to be only the greenery— give thought to the vase, as well.

A simple area rug can dramatically change the feel of a room. Dress up with an Oriental rug, or lighten up a dark room with a light colored rug, or add colors through a funky patterned rug.

Brighten up with new lighting. Proper lighting can truly bring a room to life.  A poorly lit room looks small, dark and cramped, while a brightly lit room appears open, airy and welcoming. Strategically place a couple tall floor lamps in dark corners, Layer this lighting with lamps on side tables, or you can replace all those outdated ceiling fixtures with the stunning modern masterpieces. All this makes your room feel welcoming and cozy.

One word: Paint. “Paint it” is the most common suggestion you’ll hear to update a room. It seems obvious but a clean coat of paint can take a room from drab to fab. Consider adding a punch of color on an accent wall, or just touch up your trim with a clean coat of white paint. If your home already has a fresh coat of paint, then look to other things that could use a touch-up.  Maybe paint your ceiling a cool blue, or bring new life to an outdated piece of furniture with a new coat of paint. A deep clean and a new coat of paint can go a long way when it comes to revamping our rooms without major renovations.

Install decorative display shelves. You’ll solve storage and decorating issues at the same time. If you collect shells, matchbooks, or family photos, don’t hide them away. Give each their own space to shine, and give your room a new vibe in the process. Mirrors when placed opposite windows reflect light into the room and make the room seem more open.

Wallpaper an accent wall. Consider covering the main wall of your bedroom with a peaceful pattern, or consider a living room update by covering one wall with a funky geometric patterned paper.

Last but not the least. Add colorful cushions. Cushions are significant decorating accessories that make your space look stylish and versatile and are light on your budget of home décor. If you lead a very casual/informal lifestyle, funky/jazzy designs suit you the best. Then create a good mix of colorful and decorative cushions in unusual shapes and create a delightful atmosphere.

Hope these ideas help you in bringing a little change in your home or space.

xoxo

Hello Everyone!!

Finally I am back to blogging after 6 days of inspirational and rejuvenating holidays in Bangkok 😀

Today I am going to write about the currently trending: DIP DYE ITEMS.

Some trends stay and some fade, but one trend that began catching on is now on fire.  Ombre aka “dipped dyed” means shaded in French. It’s all the rage from fashion to hair and now to interiors as well.

Few months back, one of my college Friend, Luanne, an avid Fashion Blogger (Weesha’s World), had dip dyed her hair in pink color…little did I know that this trend would find its way in furniture and home décor accessories also. .  Love it!

According to me, Dip Dye trend can also be called as “Split Personality”. Because the same furniture piece can have two different looks..which is great!!
The dipped look has been gaining momentum for a while now.  In fact, I’d be shocked if you haven’t already seen something dipped. Here are few of my favorite dipped pieces and items.
Dip dye Trend in Fashion…

So, what do you guys think about this trend? Its an enjoyable twist on a traditional paint makeover with just a ‘dip’ of unexpected colour. It’s a fun and easy-to-do treatment at home with stunning results. These were several ideas on ways to decorate with dip-dyed accessories and furniture.

Would you do this to any of your furniture or accessories?? Do leave your comment below 🙂

Hello Friends!!

“In this busy world where changes are constant, I often get bored of the setting I live in. I have an incessant desire to remodel my space but I hardly find time to do it.”

Have you heard this story before? Well, I have…many a times, from both family and friends. How much ever time and money one spends in Home Décor…it is never enough!

Seasons change, and so do our moods. It is certainly difficult to switch decors every now and then, but, we don’t have to sit back thinking we cannot do anything at all and keep putting up in a place that has now turned unglamorously mundane. With little tit-bits of add-ons…like some cushions/decorative pillows and accessories, we all can make our home look stylish and up to date.

Here are some brilliant examples of decorative pillows which are in vogue currently. Have a look; you might just end up desiring one!

The other day I was in Dubai Mall, I came across a store named “Pottery Barn”, a Design Studio from US, which is famous for its exclusively designed and innovative product techniques.  Their home furnishings are exceptional in comfort, style, and quality, and each piece in the collection is inspired by time–honored designs from around the world and crafted using the finest materials and processes available.

I personally loved their cushion collections which includes natural colors, linen and cotton fabrics, Chenille Solids and Jacquards, Intricate Ornamentation, Beautiful block and screen printed patterns, and Woven and Embroidered Surface Ornamentation. So I thought of sharing some of their design ideas with you all. I am sure these patterns and colors would bring in cool effect in this summer season.

Imagine a room with all the furniture but no cushions or decorative pillows. Wouldn’t it look barren and boring? Cushions are significant decorating accessories that make your space look stylish and versatile and are light on your budget of home décor. They make up for easy décor alterations too when you desire to add interest all throughout your interiors or even outdoors.

As a designer, I suggest everyone to have a stylish collection of cushions and decorative pillows to accessorize the space in whatever way you like or prefer. With a plethora of cushions available in the market, it gets easy to select textures, colors, designs and fabrics as per your choice and décor style.

Below are some of my personal favourite cushions and fabrics from Designer Guild, UK. I totally love their bright colors and patterns. If you lead a very casual/informal lifestyle, funky/jazzy designs suit you the best. Then create a good mix of colorful and decorative cushions in unusual shapes and create a delightful atmosphere. Colorful cushions on a white sofa is a brilliant combination.

These above cushions are my favorite too. Love the patchwork done with brocades, saris, mirrors and embroidery fabrics. These style brings in a very warm and traditional feel to the whole space.

Cushions as an accessory can be added just anywhere and not just in the living room. They look great on beds, dining chairs and floors too. They complete the entire look and are a complete fit in all sorts of environments. The idea is to choose what you like or what goes well with the present décor style, what matches your taste and what suits your personality.

Cheers!! Love to all :):)

Hello Everyone!!

Recently, I had come across a “pixel inspired furniture piece” at THE HOTEL SHOW exhibition that took place 2 weeks back in Dubai World Trade Center.  Since then I am very fascinated with such an innovative design.  The pointillism painters were fascinated by them in the late 1800′s. Modern society measures picture quality with them. And these days, they have become a source of inspiration in decor. Pixels are now common in the design world featured as graphic prints on everything from pillows to bed-sheets to meticulously-constructed lamps and clocks. A dizzying array of designers has set their sights on this pixel-inspired trend. From furniture and lighting to tiles and textiles, items are getting cubed, bitmapped and scattered.

This enthrallment may in part be sparked by an increasingly digital world and in part by our initial fascination with dots, evident during the pointillism period in art – how a large group of many tiny dots, varying in color, can compose a larger image. Regardless, they make for funky and modern touches in our living room or bedroom and are probably a good conversation starter.

Listed below are some of the most coolest and imaginative examples of pixelated designs that I came across (Thanks to Google :)) and I promise you each and every piece will enthrall you with its creativity.

These below 8-bit inspired furniture designs are the brain-child of London-based Designer Cristian Zuzunaga. His Interior accessory store has a cool collection of pillows, rugs and couches that celebrate pixels.
