Hello everyone,

Do you know? There are about two million dust mites living in your bed, feeding on you as you snooze. Then there are the bed bugs, bacteria, mold, fungi, and viruses also taking refuge between your sheets, not to mention under your carpets, on your sofa, and in your curtains. Eww right?

Whether you realize it or not, Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) is a real concern in the UAE. Extreme temperatures, high humidity levels, the continuous use of air conditioning, frequent sandstorms and a never-ending haze of construction dust all contribute in ensuring that the air that gets trapped in our homes is full of impurities.

I know we do not think about all of this in our everyday busy life. Neither did I. But then I came across this company called The Healthy Home ME which is currently focusing on treatments for mattresses and other soft furnishings, and uses an innovative, dry and chemical-free deep-cleaning solution that eliminates dead or living dust mites, bed bugs, bacteria, mold and fungi and their fragments from any home environment. It claims to be “the only company in the Middle East that can completely sanitize your mattress”. After seeing some interesting videos and stories on Instagram about them, I decided to call them to my home.

The Healthy Home sent a team to my home with two huge trolleys filled with their innovative gadgets and machine. I opted for mattress cleaning and sanitation treatment for my bedroom since my mattress was more than 3 years old and of course, I never got this done before. Very briefly one of the team members explained me the whole process of the treatment. I was super excited to see how the process worked that’s why they provided me a nose mask so I can be in the room as well.

The Healthy Home Team

Let me explain you the whole process. Their dry and chemical-free sanitizing treatment is the most effective method for allergen control in the mattress with tested and guaranteed results. It is performed in two steps:

Step 1

  • They used a specialized industrial-strength pulsating vacuum device that provides extreme vibration and suction to both sides of the mattress, removing dust particles, fungal spores, and other debris.
  • After the removal of the waste particles, it’s time for The Healthy Home exclusive sanitation.

Step 1: Deep Vacuuming on the entire mattress

Step 2

  • Then they applied the world’s first and only medical grade mattress sanitation technology using Germicidal Ultra Violet Light (GUVL), available with The Healthy Home in the Middle East, that used powerful Ultra Violet light to destroy DNA and eliminate any remaining dust particles leaving the mattress completely sanitized.
  • UV light mirrors the natural outdoor purification system of the sun, by decomposing the allergy and disease-causing microbes living and multiplying in unnoticed surfaces inside our house.
  • This device also neutralizes unpleasant odors from the mattress ensuring freshness.
  • They also applied overheated dry steam technology that, unlike regular steam cleaning, heats the regular tap water into dry steam and fogs it at 180◦C to create a thermal shock that kills all Bacteria, Viruses, and Impurities and dries in less than 1 minute. They sprayed this steam in my entire room including all the knobs, handles, door handle, chair, my cabinet, pillows, duvet and even my IKEA fur rug…aww I loved it.

Step 2: UV Light Sanitation

I was completely satisfied with the whole process and it took less than 25 minutes to finish both the steps. I  was also shocked to see the dirt that came out of my mattress. It’s truly the best thing you can do to yourself and your family. I strongly recommend this treatment at least once in 6 months because it’s important to stay healthy and sleep peacefully in today’s hectic world.

Visit their website for more information and you can also book a demo service that they provide.

Till then stay healthy and happy…xoxo

Hello everyone!

Since a long time I am fascinated by the BOHO look and wanted to wear such looks on a beach holiday. When I think of the word “Bohemian”, I think of a free world, where I can let my hair down, put on some free-flowing clothing, and run away to a place where the sun kisses the ocean. What place would that be, you ask? I’m talking about beautiful Goa, of course. And guess what I recently visited Goa for a 3-day trip and in this blog post I will be showcasing the Bohemian look of different outfits that I wore during my trip.

So Goa is my (just like everyone else’s) favorite go-to location for a relaxing getaway. This was my second visit there – and why not – there’s food, there’s the beach and of course – the beach shacks. The weather was quite pleasant with cloudy skies and rainy evenings on one of the day. I opted for light, airy clothes to fight the crazy humidity. I’m all for extravagant embroidery and light fabrics and this look will be no different. Here’s my Look:

Look 1:

For the first day, I wore this light airy yellow tee with ruffled sleeves from Mango and Black cotton shorts from Forever 21. To add some dimension to the outfit, layered it up with chunky boho necklace that I got from the streets of Bangkok. Also, the tee was a bit long so I tied a knot in the middle. Since I was at the beach that day, I wore these super comfy chappals. I was wearing basic makeup with turquoise eyeliner for my under eyes from Provoc and pinkish shade matte liquid lipstick from Sephora. The location for this shoot is Anjuna Beach, a quiet beach far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering tranquil and scenic sunsets. This place is definitely worth a visit when in Goa.

Look 2:

For the 2nd day, I wore an off-shoulder embroidered top and lace shorts that I bought from Khan Market in Delhi. Since I was touring around the city that day, I wore my comfortable sneakers from Toms. For jewelry, I wore white feather earrings. That day I visited Old and New Church in Old Goa, My favorite church in the Panjim city “Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary” and Dona Paulo.

Look 3:

For the 3rd day, I paired up my favorite denim shorts from New Look with a DIY fringe polka dot crop top. To add some dimension to the outfit, layered it up with a sheer tribal printed shrug from FBB. Easy and breezy for the hot and humid climate while also protecting me from the elements. I styled this look with gold gladiators and boho statement necklace.

On the beach day, since I was not going to swim, I wore a black sleeveless tank top with checkered cotton shorts.

That’s it for my Goa travelogue. Hope you guys enjoyed the looks! If you did then don’t forget to show some love by liking and sharing my page. Thank you!

xoxo

We Instagrammers and Bloggers keep looking for new places that are #instaworthy and #pinteresty. And the same way I discovered this pretty looking place called TANIA’S TEAHOUSE that is located near Burj Al Arab.

Tania’s Teahouse is every girl’s dream place…tea themed cafe has a wide range of special tea selection, coffee, breakfast food, and desserts. From pink color walls to punny & motivational quotes on the walls to rose gold furniture & cutlery to marble finishes to green plants all around the villa…this place has everything. The two-storey cafe has stylishly blended the millennial minimalism and pastel furnishings. Let’s look at the interiors:

Ground floor seating

cute little corner with books and games

I’m in love with the gallery wall on their spiral staircase.

This place is the brainchild of a Dubai-based tea lover. With attention to detail, Tania has perfectly conceptualized this cafe as a perfect place to study and work. The menu is so well designed with unique names for their specialty teas. At the time of order, Tania herself came to us and explained her own blended tea flavors. Along with tea and coffee, there is also healthy salad or the all-day breakfast options, before indulging in an array of desserts from cookies to cupcakes. Let’s take a look at what we ordered:

Desert Rose Latte with fashion-inspired Barista Art (25ED)

Chai Pudding with Berries (45 AED)

Mermaid Toast – with cream cheese, honey, and banana (35AED)

This is not it, located next to the tea bar, there is also a gift shop selling their tea-themed goodies from mugs to skincare products to customized Tees and jewelry.

This place is worth a visit. A perfect spot to visit for breakfast, lunch or just sit in a corner with a book and a cup of tea. I am definitely going back to spend some ME time till then xoxo.
